Julie Burgevin established Gainesville Massage Therapy to offer the healing treatment of touch while creating a space for developing practitioners to grow professionally. GMT encourages body awareness with massage by helping people understand the unique causes of their pain and stress. Their aim is to benefit both the individual and the world in which they live by promoting massage therapy as a health care option.

Corporate & Event Massage
Relaxation Massage Commonly referred to as a Swedish Massage. The massage has emphasis on long, flowing strokes aided by lubricating oils to calm the nervous system. Other techniques, such as Ortho-Bionomy, Cranio-Sacral and Reiki, may be incorporated to adjust to the client’s needs.
Therapeutic Massage A deep, targeted massage session. Techniques that are practiced include Neuromuscular, Sports/Orthopedic and Connective Tissue for the treatment of injuries. Lighter massages are also provided for clients who have scar tissue due to injury or surgery.
Corporate & Event Massage Clients are treated to a 10- to 20-minute massage session in a specially designed chair or table at a business setting. (Please coordinate massage event with GMT)
On-Site Massage A massage performed at the client’s location of choice on a specially designed chair or table. This is an ideal massage for small parties or special occasions. (Please coordinate massage event with GMT)
Home Massage A massage provided in the client’s home at his or her convenience. (Please coordinate scheduling with GMT; travel fees may apply)
Designed for individual clients. Purchase five to 10 one-hour massages at a discounted rate of $60 per massage. The Massage Series must be scheduled within a predesignated period from the date of purchase (e.g. five massages in five months or 10 massages in 10 months), and will expire if not used within the period. Any remainder can be applied to full priced massage.
Payment Methods For Discounted Massage
GMT accepts all forms of payment. Payment by cash or check is preferred on discounted and/or large purchases made in office to avoid transaction fees.
Loyalty Discounts begin once the client has paid for a massage at full price. The discount only applies to one-hour massages.
- Massages are covered by Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Please check with your accounts and policies to confirm if you may receive coverage without a prescription.
- Health insurance policies may cover massage when prescribed by a referring physician or chiropractor. Julie Burgevin, LMT, is a Blue Cross Blue Shield independent, out-of-network provider. GMT does not submit health insurance claims. Clients must pay up front and file a claim with their insurance companies themselves for reimbursement.
Full Charge Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to full charge.
